Sandra and I gained an invite to Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s AGM on 17th July, thanks to our close working partnership with the NHS Shared Purpose Team. Our ‘shared’ stand was in a prime spot for the AGM guests to peruse as they entered.
Sandra spent the afternoon chatting and raising the projects profile and explaining the partnership with her many connections, those she didn’t know were tempted by the Age UK North Tyneside goody bags!
Jo (NHS Patient Experience) and Cath (NHS Shared Purpose Project Manager) were equally successful with the ‘guess the smell pots’ from the Wellbeing volunteer resource box. Little did they suspect this would generate some uninvited guests, as an embarrassed guest revealed he was not having an anaphylactic shock, he was a medium and the smell of an open fire had triggered spirits.
Observation volunteers Tina (pictured above first left) did her bit too, chatting to the Chief Executive Jim Mackey.
