New Year, New Volunteers

Happy new year to all our readers, volunteers and patients.

It’s been a busy start to the year, with training being carried out and volunteers being placed on the wards in their new roles.

We have 5 mealtime volunteers, on ward 9 at North Tyneside General Hospital. Who have all settled into their roles brilliantly.  We have received feedback from Tracy Young Modern Matron who said ” The volunteers are going really well, so thank you and please pass this onto them….we are very grateful to all those who gives their valuable time to us”

We have 2 Wellbeing volunteers placed on ward 3 at North Tyneside General Hospital and are hoping for more very soon. The feedback is fabulous and special mention to Joanne Mackintosh from the Patient Experience team for facilitating this.

The volunteers are a little media shy right now however for our next blog in March we are looking to entice into doing ” A get to know you” blog entry. So watch this spacevolunteers cartoon
